Visits, home visits and free trials

We understand how important it is for you to find the right nursery for your child, so you’re welcome to come and have a look round and meet our team before registering your child.

You can also bring your child for a free two hour trial session at our nursery. We advise that you leave your child with us during these sessions. If you do leave your child, we’ll make sure their Key Person spends plenty of time with them.

Please contact us to arrange a visit to the nursery or free trial.

Your welcome pack

After you’ve registered your child with us, we’ll give you a Welcome Pack. This will include:

Information on our policies and procedures*
Details of what you’ll need to provide when your child attends nursery.
Your child’s ‘All about me’ booklet

We’ll also give you a booklet called ‘All about me’ Please fill this in with as much information as possible, as it will help your child’s Key Person get to know you and your child before they start nursery. If you’d like any assistance with completing the booklet, please let us know and your child’s Key Person will be happy to help.

* The Wolds Day Nursery undertakes to comply with all statutory Health and Safety and Environmental Health requirements and all staff receive a full induction when they join us. If you’d like a copy of our Health and Safety policy or any of our other policies, please contact us.

Baby Days

We share your child's progress (Learning Journeys) and 'special moments' with you through an electronic system called Baby Days. It is a secure system using passwords chosen and used by yourself. Developmental observations and pictures of your child are added to their personal file, you then receive an email with notification. The iPads that are used to record this information are locked away after each day and are checked regularly by the management team.
